The very first “Velka Budejovicka Cyklojizda” happened yesterday. I was surprised how many people were attending even when it was first time. Stylish outfits, kids, fixes, unicycles, high wheelers … you name it. It was praticularly nice to be able to cross the traffic lights on reds as this was the way I (and everybody else too) was riding in Zurich for last two months. Just one way to work was a few times on the sidewalk, couple of one way streets in wrong direction, sometimes on tram rails, going on red and maybe much more.
Yes, they are here too! I have seen a fixie near Vysehrad today. A decent one as you can see bellow. Respect. Brakeless would probably be more hard core, but to me just riding a fixie in Prague is hard core enough. I can’t imagine myself to ride my usual trip I do on MTB on fixed gear or even brakeless. Average 8.1% climbing within Zizkov tunnel and then even more climbing of various steepness up to Zizkov tower . Then a downhill back home often fuelled by couple of beers … no thanks :)
Frequently visited place is crucial in retail, just the city light ad does not match the products anymore…
Who are the most innovative people? Mark Zuckerberg, Sergey Brin, Larry Pages or Mark Shuttleworth like young enterpreneurs? Not anymore! Latest research shows older people (age of 35 to 45 years) are more innovative than young whiz-kids. Find the details in The Golden Age of Innovation and Startup demographics. I’m reaching that hurdle. Fortunately now?
Check out the overview of embassies in current “architecture capital” of Europe – in Berlin. I did not view everything just about seven or eight and my surprising favorite so far: Oman.
Kill your online alter ego easily, quickly and … forever. Take the tour or check out the testimonials. Wanted to give it a try and as an experiment kill my Twitter account (you know everything is impermanent), but got the maintenance message:
Sorry our machine is currently shutdown due to server maintenance caused by the huge amount of requests and reactions we've received in the last hours! Please consider suicide at a later moment and accept our apologies! We'll hit back!
Damn …
Found video PF 2010 from Topolanek and Paroubek yesterday evening and … I have definitely seen the worst PF ever.
While Topolanek’s one is not interesting in any way and does not say anything special or inspirational, it is believable. He looks like an ordinary guy (albeit a bit dumb), he says what the people usually say, he smiles. On the other hand Paroubek’s is like a trip to North Korea – awfull place (stage with a candle … how original!), horrible speech being read from the written notes, grumpy face. Is it a sort of personality cult or what? The cameraman could tell him he looks like an idiot? OMG, this guy wants to be a PM!
Check for yourself bellow.
