Little political window
Visited Kharl's blog and few other pages which were linked from it ... and got more clear picture on P. Cibulka & company as Kharl sympathises with it. But let's start debate on two quotations from the blog:
" Non-parliament parties representants did not get any opportunity to present their political opinion. " (regarding new TV political discussion)
Looks like a sort discrimination, right ? But what if I can get 1000 signatures to establish new political party, can I then blackmail TV to give me the air time as I would be non-parliament party then ? No, it is allright to show only something what is significant on TV as there obviously could not be shown everything. People have other ways how they can reach non-significant (in terms of media) parties. I don't ever want to see a debate in TV between Pravy Blok, Strana pratel piva, Balbinova poeticka strana & Nezavisla eroticka iniciativa :)
The other side is Pravy blok is actually not relevant to be presented in media either, because of talking the same stuff for 10 years. Why to repeat it again and again, that would be againts the basis of word "news". Could this be the reason why Pravy Blok gets no attention by media, couldn't it ? I remember many non-parliament parties related news in the newspapers, but none of them about Pravy blok. And by the way even to that particular debate was one of non-parliament partesy invited and was presented (besised one of the parliament parties wasn't presented!). Is this just a coincidence ... or is this the conspiracy of all those STB and KGB agents who control everything and who can't let the forces of good to win ? :)
" Voting preferences researches are one of the most efficient tools for election results manipulation. " (regarding Green party having huge growth of popularity)
This is quite cheap media blaming for Pravy Blok's chronical failure. Numbers in researches don't make the popularity. Communist party has 18%, but does this make other people to vote it ? Certainly not, this is not the way how it works. There are ideas and faces behind the numbers. And that's why Green Party has risen. And that's why Pravy Blok has failed. Green Party is a real alternative. Conspiracy, KSC, criminals everywhere, paranoia and behaving injured from anything is definitely not the real alternative simply, because almost nobody sees current situation similar way. I'm not saying all of their ideas are bad ... content is allright, but the form is an ultimate tragedy.

Weird spam
Received wierd spam message today ...
From: "Moreland Mervin" <absenting@codec.ro> Date: March 17, 2006 5:33:45 GMT+01:00 To: "Moreno Micah" <pavel.tuma@moucha.cc> Subject: Re[8]: muttered in a sleepy voice but without malice : 'All right, then . . . but you'll pay for it ... I warned you, but if you want to ... What interests me most now is Pontius Pilate . . . Pilate . . .' And with that he closed his eyes. 'Vanna, put him in No. 117 by himself and with someone to watch him.' The doctor gave his instructions and replaced his spectacles. Then Ryukhin shuddered again: a pair of white doors opened without a sound and beyond them stretched a corridor lit by a row of blue night-bulbs. Out of the corridor rolled a couch on rubber wheels. The sleeping Ivan was lifted on to it, he was pushed off down the corridor and the doors closed after him. 'Doctor,' asked the shaken Ryukhin in a whisper, 'is he really ill?' 'Oh yes,' replied the doctor. 'Then what's the matter with him?' enquired Rvukhin timidly. The exhausted doctor looked at Ryukhin and answered wearily: 'Overstimulation of the motor nerves and speech centres..

Graphics beast
Just read Techreport's nVidia GF 7900 review with some information about quad-SLI systems. Quite interesting and also funny reading as they really have jokeful editors. Here are some quotes:
"And we have the juicy details on the King Kong of PC graphics,
quad SLI, where not one, not two, but four GeForce 7900 GPUs can
pull together to squash all competition and raid your Swiss bank
account."
"There's nothing like playing some F.E.A.R. on a pair of GeForce
7900 GTXs after a long weekend of yachting, but most of us will
probably be more personally interested in the G71's other
assignment, the GeForce 7900 GT."
"Probably a whole truckload of cash, because quad SLI will
initially be available only through PC system builders like Voodoo
and Alienware, who like to charge about the price of a Mazda for a
well-equipped PC."

Fuel cells, the wait is over ...
Long time of waiting for more battery power is coming to the end ... Ultracell demonstrated methanol based fuel cells with these specs:
- two working days per single cartridge
- hot-swappable
- will work in sub-zero and desert environments as well
- half weight in comparison to Li-ion batteries
Is there anything else what it could do ? And they look cool ... I guess their designers have been inspired by energy cells (or were these the ammo boxes, don't remember well) from old, very old, but nonetheless the best computer game ever made System shock 2.

Recently seen movies
After quite a long time of watching crap in TV in free moments I pushed my self to watch some movies instead of TV. I have seen:
- Shinya Tsukamoto's Vital
- Bertolucci's The dreamers
- Fimfarum 2
Enjoyed all of them! Vital has excellent visuals (interiors of homes and dissetion room, main hero visions, etc.) and freaky plot of guy with amnesia after a car crash, who is gaining memory back while dissecting his girlfrind who died in the crash.
I would say The dreamers is about "my favourite topics" :) Movies, sex and revolution on the background on student rebelions in Paris in late sixtees. Liked this film very much although it can't be compared to other Bertoluccis 60's reminiscence - Last tango in Paris, but definitely again great piece of "l'art cinematographique". I have to mention the soundtrack - Janis Joplin, The Doors, Edith Piaf ... yum yum.
Fimfarum 2 followed the high level set by first Fimfarum. Excellent animation, picture, sound, music track and stories itself. Both of Fimfarum movies are IMHO the masterpieces ... not boring "run of the mill" Disney production.
