Demanty noci

Standard

After a long time search for Jan Nemec movies I finally found, downloaded and watched his film Demanty noci and …

I was stunned … this is the masterpiece of world cinematography! The film tells story about two boys escaping from a transport between concentration camps during second world war. But the story does not make this movie a gem. It is dark and brute atmosphere of their fight for life mixed with surreal introspective hallucinations of both heroes. One of the bestmoments is a escape scene in the intro when the boys run through dark, bleak and endless forests, swamps and rock fields. Hand held camera, close ups, reflections of the sun … simply pure art.

Trip report

Made one of regular trips to Bohemia just to go outside Prague during last longer weekend. After start of using MP3 player in my cell phone last week I decided to profit from another feature of my Sony Ericsson D750i built-in 2 megapixel camera.

Here are some pictures of ruins of Kosumberk castle and rock formations in forests named Toulovcovy mastale.

I love my Mac. I just wish it came in green.

A few posts before I mentioned “green” computing and wished to appear more and more. There is a Guide to green electronics from Greenpeace. Unfortunately it shows very bad score for one of my favorite electronics makers – Apple, see following score chart …

Fortunately Sony Ericsson and Dell whose products I also use are much better. Anyway there is already Green my Apple campaign to push Apple be more environment friendly. So take action and …

… to get your Apple green!

Yesterday I sold my old fridge and while the guy who bought it (not really
bought but just took away) was checking it I found still readable sign at back
stating its year of production. It was 1982! Holy zombie Jesus!

DSPAM rules

I was glad again to see excellent performance of DSPAM spam filter. Although the documentation says I should train the filter with 300 spams to have best performance and I was prepared to do so, 42 messages were quite enough as I don’t receive almost any spam, because everything is stopped by dspam. And I got no false positive as well. See those impressive stats yourself:
