After some “quiet” period here caused by new regular work (CZ.NIC .cz top level domain administrator), a lot of other work (Zonio), learning Mac OS X as my notebook is Apple now, visiting International documentary film festival in Jihlava, downloading new drum & bass stuff etc.

But now I’m back, so stay tuned for fresh reports from all above and more … starting with track of the week as usual.

Advanced public transportation in Prague

My brother showed me weird route in Prague’s public transport schedule few days ago. I just found a screenshot of it on my desktop … so see it for yourself. It had been taken with default settings just with “from” and “to” places filled in.

Wonder whether it would be possible to find routes with boats or airplanes?

Designblok 05

I visited Designblok 05 exposition in old factory hall in Karlin yesterday. I was quite looking forward, because unlike in previous years, this year was the exposition all at one place. Unfortunately I was disappointed a bit. I liked very few things and I didn’t see many new original ideas :( So the best was the old decayed industrial space itself.

Cirque nouveau

Again in the end of summer the festival of new circus, theater, music and visual arts named Letni Letna was held in Prague. Because last year I saw great “Grimm” performance of famous french ensemble Cahin-Caha based on Grimm brothers “Seven ravens” fairytale, I look forward to see this year menu. I watched two performances finally.

Dr. Schreck klinik – Das blutig kabinted which was absolutely awesome. There were actualy no artistic performances, but it was expressive theater with great masks and live music instead. Really enjoyed that one, check out the photo gallery here. The other performance I watched was Ningen from french Cirque-Baroque. Although it was good overall, I missed the visual beauty and great artistic tricks of Grimm.

But definitely it was worth to see … so see you next year @ Letna!

Police deja vu ?!

A few weeks after Czechtek I realized the police is the same everywhere. They break laws, bust up people, lie, abuse the power. Police stopped the rave party at Fork Canyon (near Salt Lake City, Utah) the same fucking way as Czechtek. Check the report and video. Quite sad and disappointing message :(

Btw … if you know about ACLU like civil liberties fighting organization in CZ, drop me a note please. “You can stop the party, but you can’t stop the future!”
